The national standard "Protection Levels of Enclosures for Low-Voltage Electrical Equipment" specifies the classification, grading, marking, definitions, test methods, and conformity assessment of protection levels for low-voltage electrical equipment enclosures, as well as related technical requirements.
The code representing the protection level consists of the letters "IP" followed by two additional digits and supplementary letters. The first digit and the letter following it represent different levels of the first type of protection, while the second digit represents different levels of the second type of protection. Now, SKYT introduces the differences between various protection levels:
IP00 has no dust or water protection;
IP11 prevents solid particles with a diameter of 50 millimeters from entering and prevents vertically falling water drops;
IP22 prevents solid particles with a diameter of 12.5 millimeters from entering and prevents water flowing at a 15-degree tilt angle from entering;
IP33 prevents solid particles with a diameter of 2.5 millimeters from entering and prevents water splashing at a 60-degree angle from the vertical line on both sides;
IP44 prevents solid particles larger than 1 millimeter from entering and prevents water splashing from any direction;
IP55 prevents dust that may cause damage from entering and prevents low-pressure water jets from any direction;
IP66 is completely dustproof and prevents high-pressure water jets from any direction;
